Breaking Down UNICAP - What's the View from Your Perspective?

IRS recently announced that it will suspend examination of automobile dealership UNICAP issues until January 1, 2011. Until then, the IRS is encouraging dealerships to voluntarily change their UNICAP methods of accounting by filing Form 3115 to comply with the Treasury regulations and the positions taken by the IRS in TAM 200736026. Bob Zwiers will discuss what dealers should do, the options that dealers should consider and the likely consequences of the selecting each of the options.
