Brian Chmiel has more than 12 years of experience providing restructuring, due diligence, forensic accounting, and assurance services to clients in industries such as manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel production, plastic packaging, distribution, mining, retail, and real estate. He specializes in the preparation of cash flow forecasts as well as income statement and balance sheet projections, with a focus on detailed sensitivity analysis developed under various scenarios.

Mr. Chmiel has performed multiple investigations into alleged fraudulent activities and business transactions, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, inventory, and fraudulent and preferential transfers. He has also served as an accounting expert and neutral arbitrator in numerous purchase price disputes.

Mr. Chmiel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Illinois. In addition, he is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, and the Turnaround Management Association.
