Brian Reilly is a principal in Crowe Horwath LLP’s Chicago office, where he focuses on complex commercial litigation matters, valuation and damages determination, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Crowe, Mr. Reilly was a director, providing similar services, at LECG LLC and Navigant Consulting Inc. for several years. The majority of his case work has been related to major multimillion dollar contract, tort, bankruptcy, or regulatory disputes.

Mr. Reilly has served as an expert witness at depositions and trials, including appearances in federal district court and AAA arbitration. He has applied his consulting expertise in many valuation and damages contexts, involving litigation in the major electronic appliance, Internet, credit information, textile and fabrics, transportation, steel, and retail home improvement industries, as well as many facets of the communications industry. Mr. Reilly also has focused on theoretical issues regarding breach of contract damages, remedies, and fraud. He has managed extensive valuation/solvency analyses in fraudulent transfer and preference actions in federal bankruptcy cases.

Mr. Reilly’s consulting experience is augmented by 15 years of Fortune 100 management experience with Ameritech/SBC (now AT&T). Much of his experience with large, publicly traded firms involved gathering evidence and presenting testimony in complex legal disputes or hearings. He developed practical experience obtaining and presenting many types of corporate records that are frequently relevant in complex valuation and damages analyses, including financial and operational records, market forecasts, external communications, strategic business plans, computer data sources, and business unit/product profitability analysis, as well as large-scale document productions and written discovery responses.

Mr. Reilly’s experience spans the corporate functions of M&A, merger integration, corporate strategy, international consulting and operations, and complex information and billing systems, as well as regulatory affairs and related communications and filings. He has applied this experience in several expert services and consulting engagements in the communications and other industries.

Mr. Reilly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago, and a Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. In addition, he has taken executive courses in valuation and mergers and acquisitions at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Reilly is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and American Bar Association.
