The Chaos of Healthcare Reform: What’s Next?
Healthcare has always been an evolving segment of society and business. The pace at which this sector has been changing in the past few years has gone from steady growth and change to dizzying speed. Navigating these changes and having strategies to manage the chaos of healthcare reform are the hallmarks of today’s successful healthcare leaders. In this panel discussion, we’ll explore important areas shaping the future of the industry and how successful organizations are managing the changes. As a result of participating in this webinar, you should be able to:

  • Learn about reform over the past four to six years and what to expect for the next 12 months
  • Develop strategies for remaining agile with the ever-changing healthcare requirements and what the new administration in Washington might mean for the future of regulatory compliance
  • Identify leading practices for managing organizational growth, business development, and employee recruiting and retention

The new “normal” in business and in the healthcare field is change, and the speed of change is only going to continue to accelerate. It’s driven by technology, regulatory requirements, and the sheer volume of people requiring support and service. Is your plan for navigating the chaos ready for these changes? Find out.

Revenue Recognition
In 2014, the Financial Accounting Standards Board and International Accounting Standards Board set in motion major changes to the rules for recognizing revenue. Nearly two years after the issuance of Accounting Standards Update No. 2014-09, "Revenue From Contracts With Customers" (Topic 606), organizations across the country have been examining the impact of these standards and how they affect their recognition, measurement, and disclosure of revenue from contracts with customers. With implementation deadlines beginning to take effect, is your organization ready for the change? As a result of participating in this webinar, you should be able to:

  • Discuss terminology outlined by the standards and their importance to your organization
  • Define when a contract exists under the new standards
  • Outline which systems or processes need to be revised to support the changes
  • Assess whether your organization is adequately making and documenting the new judgments required for compliance
  • Examine transition options and determine where your team is in the process and what is still needed

The impact of these changes is far-reaching. Complying with the new standards requires healthcare leaders to develop clear plans and to communicate effectively with management and team members across the organization. Join us for this keynote session to see how your efforts align with those of thought leaders from across the industry.
