Bernie Costich is a partner in the Crowe Horwath LLP advisory services group. He also leads the firm’s delivery of bankruptcy and insolvency services in New York and Delaware markets.
Bernie has more than 30 years of experience providing restructuring and bankruptcy services to financially troubled entities and their constituents. He has served as chief executive officer, chief restructuring officer, and interim chief financial officer to financially troubled entities. Bernie has also served as a financial adviser to financially troubled entities, including debtors in possession, secured lenders, and unsecured creditors' committees. He is frequently retained as an accountant and financial adviser for Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 trustees and examiners. Additionally, Bernie has been appointed a Chapter 11 trustee and examiner by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Delaware. Bernie has experience in industries that include manufacturing, construction, equipment leasing, consumer products, not-for-profit, real estate, and retail.
