2018 Healthcare Summit FAQs

We’d like to make your Healthcare Summit experience as enjoyable as possible, so we’ve provided some answers to frequently asked questions to help prepare you for this unique industry event. If you still have questions after reviewing the information below, please contact us.

Who?

This event is exclusively for healthcare providers—attendee organizations are comprised of not-for-profit, for-profit and public hospitals; academic medical centers; physician offices; surgery centers, etc. CEOs and CFOs, along with net revenue, finance, revenue cycle, reimbursement, risk, compliance, internal audit, cybersecurity, and other business leaders, will gain the most from the Crowe Healthcare Summit. What?

Four days of personalized training, networking, workshopping and fun. See the agenda-at-a-glance here. New this year: Completely revamped RCA boot camps, additional intensive training sessions, innovation workshops, mobile CPE reporting, on-site CNRA exam, and more.

When?

September 17-20, 2018. Sessions will typically run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Crowe has negotiated a limited number of rooms at the Sheraton Dallas for a discounted conference rate of $181 per night Sept. 16-20. Group rate available through Aug. 27 subject to availability. This block typically sells out early, so please book your room now.

Cost?

There is no registration fee for the Healthcare Summit. The registration fee for each RCA Boot Camp and other intensive training offering ranges from $125 to $500 per person per 2-hour, 4-hour and 8-hour session.

How do I decide which sessions to attend?

Crowe RCA boot camps and other intensive training sessions will have program level indicators and recommended experience. Peer-to-peer roundtables and innovation workshop assignments will be made based on attendee preferences selected during registration. Breakout sessions run concurrently and attendees are encouraged to move as they wish from session to session across topic areas based on interests and needs.

How will I gain access to Healthcare Summit events?

Your conference badge will provide you access to the events you are registered to attend. You must register to receive your badge and assigned sessions (paid sessions and roundtables/innovation workshops), and are required to wear your badge at all times, including at off-site events.

How much CPE is available?

Attendees can traditionally earn upward of 9 hours of CPE credit per day over the course of four days (including paid training). The complimentary Healthcare Summit events on Tuesday and Wednesday typically equal a total of 12-18 CPE credits earned per attendee.

How do I pay for boot camps and intensive training sessions?

You will receive an invoice shortly after registering for Healthcare Summit if you have selected to attend Crowe RCA boot camps or other intensive training sessions. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express on-site at registration. Payment via check must be received one week in advance of Healthcare Summit or on-site credit card/check payment will be required.

Does registration include airfare and hotel accommodations?

No. All air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee.

What if I have to cancel?

Our cancellation and refund policy for paid sessions is as follows:

  • 31 – 100 days prior to event: 100% refund
  • 0 – 30 days prior to event: 0% refund/organization substitution allowed

How do I connect during Healthcare Summit?

Complimentary WIFI will be available in guest rooms and conference spaces. The Crowe Healthcare Summit event app for both Apple’s App Store and Google Play for Android will be made available to all registered attendees in early September. Please follow @CroweHorwathUS on Twitter to stay updated during the event and use #HCSummit to live tweet while in attendance.

Will transportation to off-site events be included?

When accessible, we will walk to nearby venues. For events outside of the downtown Dallas area, we will provide transportation by bus for all registered guests. Arrangements for attendees with special needs will be made for all events.

Can my spouse/partner attend?

We encourage you to travel with your significant other if you wish, however, our on-site and after-hours events are for registered attendees only.

Can my company exhibit at or sponsor the Healthcare Summit?

No. The Summit is exclusively open to healthcare provider organizations and their leaders, along with Crowe and other industry presenters/moderators, at this time.

Electronic Recording and Photography Policy

Portions of the Crowe Healthcare Summit may be electronically recorded by Crowe. By registering, you agree to permit audio, video, and photographic recording of your participation in summit sessions, and you authorize Crowe to use any audio, video, and photographic recordings of you at the summit in any format and for any lawful purpose, such as editorial content, publicity, illustrations, advertising, and web content. You hereby waive your right to inspect and/or approve any finished product. No individual or entity may electronically record any portion of the Crowe Healthcare Summit without the prior written consent of Crowe.
