What does the IRS’ Final Report on the Colleges and Universities Compliance Project Mean to Tax-Exempts? (Webinar Recording)
The IRS recently released its Final Report on the Colleges and Universities Compliance Project that was launched in 2008 with the distribution of detailed questionnaires to 400 randomly selected colleges and universities. The final report focuses on two main issues: underreporting of unrelated business taxable income (UBTI) and compensation and comparability data. It would be shortsighted to think that the IRS focus on these issues stops here, or will not extend to tax-exempt organizations beyond the higher education setting. Join us for a review of the final report, along with a discussion about the implications of the report on your tax-exempt organization.
